No, not sure I'd pay full price for it Lynsey. I've only bought in when half price but out of the other Braemoor range it's the only one I'd consider paying more for.0

The pile of carrot cakes was going down quicker than any of the other offers this morning in my local store.0

Carrot cake, crisps, pork belly and vine tomatoes for me today - first time I had to get the large trolley.

Just thought I'd do a quick comparison of my shop today vs Tesco.
In Lidl I bought:
2 x vine tomatoes
6 x carrot cake
6 x pork belly
10 x crisps
Total was just under £25.

Just the crisps and a couple of carrot cakes for myself.
Not too busy today (just after 9am) and still plenty of half-price stuff left.
I'll be there at 8am next weekend though. lol

was going to get a carrot cake this morning, but I found a chocolate tray bake in Tesco garage on Friday night reduced from £5.30 to 53p and wouldnt have been able to eat both in next couple of days0

The carrot cake from Lidl will be fresh and does not need to be opened within a couple of days. Combine with traybake without problem.
Current batch of tomatoes in Tesco from Cheshire are a decent buy (79p for a small pack) but probably better than non-descript cherry tomatoes from Lidl (unless they are the packs of small tomatoes rather than cherry.)0 -

Some of the carrot cakes in my local were dated 'til 7th May.
I like to have mine with some custard or cream - so even if it's a bit dry then I don't mind...:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
