Gas Inspection Report with Property Info

Received property info from sols the other day for place I'm buying.
Attached was a gas boiler inspection report together with a "doesn't comply with current rules but is safe to use" type of report.
The breakdown of things that needed fixing to bring the system up to date was almost illegible but I managed to decipher most of it. I'm assuming that most of it is in the "would be good to have but not essential" bracket.
However one item did intrique me. It read something like "meter seal broken. Customer to contact supplier in writing with proof". Question is is this something the solicitor will ensure is done without me pointing it out or is it up to me to ask for it to be sorted prior to exchange.
There is also a gas fire but I was surprised this wasn't included in the report.

The meter seal can be broken if its been tampered with. If you contact the supplier they will probably visit the property to inspect it, some older meters need replacing and can give inacurate readings, my daughters meter had the dial stuck so it looked like it was running backwards!

So can I wait? If it's sorted before I exchange all well and good. If not then easy to sort out when I take possesion.

I wouldnt think the solicitor would sort this, but you could contact supplier when you move in, you dont want to find the meter is faulty or your bills could be high. The vendor might know if someone has done any work on the meter or why the seal is broken. I suppose you could get the solicitor to ask on your behalf just to make sure.
