Can I ask as many people as possible to take a look at this Facebook post and make a note of the winner announcement.

As you can see the winner was announced on 3rd March.
If you look at their main Facebook page you will see each winner is also announced with a big flashy "we have a winner" announcement.
If you scroll down however you will see the big announcement for 3rd March is missing.
The story so far is as follows:
3rd March - The person in question won the football and radio.
14th April - No prize had arrived so they sent them an email.
18th April - No reply to the email so they sent a DM on Facebook
They had scrolled down to the main announcement of the win to confirm the date and the big announcement post was there, dated 3rd March.
In the DM they pointed out that the win was announced on the 3rd March but they hadn't received the prize.
21st April - Again they got no reply but this afternoon noticed that the company had responded by removing the 3rd March post announcing the winner.
It look like it is all a con and they are trying to remove any evidence of the prize winner.
They seem to have forgotten that they also announced the winner under the original competition post so I am trying to get as many independent witnesses as possible before that post disappears as well.
Maybe you could reply on this thread that you have seen the winner name ,without actually mentioning the name, so they can't get away with what they are trying to do?

Not all of the competitions have a big "Winner" image, the Paddys day one doesn't ... that's irrelevant if you say there was a big image announcement though.
Send them an email through the website : http://www.hollandspies.co.uk/contact-us/
They might just not check posts to page and DM's might just get junked by FB so go unnoticed.0 -
Doesn't really make any difference how many people have seen it (I have) the person needs to have a screen grab so they can send it if they make a complaint to the ASA/IPM.

Thanks, the IPM have been contacted to see what they can do. The problem with a screen grab, as mentioned in a previous thread today, is the company can remove the post then turn round and say the screen grab must have been photoshopped.
They can't argue if a bunch of independent witnesses can confirm they have all seen the post before it gets removed.0 -

Bit of an update.
Although the winners post has been removed from the timeline it seems they have forgotten to remove the photo associated with the post.
If you look through their photo album you can still access the removed thread through the photo:
https://www.facebook.com/HollandsPiesOfficial/photos/pb.169531506514.-2207520000.1429640859./10154649539351515
It confirms the winner and date when it was originally posted, 3 March, and demonstrates nicely that the thread did exist on the timeline but has been deliberately removed.0 -
Another update:
After no reply to email, and a Facebook DM resulting only in the winners name being removed from the timeline, they decided the time for polite enquires was over.
Last night they used the contact form on the website to make it clear they were angry over how they were been treated, that there was additional evidence of their win and not just the Facebook post that had been removed, and they were determined to pursue an official complaint by any means necessary.
This morning they got a short email saying their prize was on it's way.
With this email confirmation of the win the company can no longer try to make it look like the person never won by removing Facebook posts, so problem solved.
Thanks to everyone who checked out this thread. With over 450 hits the company would have been in deep trouble if they tried to claim the person had never won the prize.0
