According to the INSURANCE arm of the AA, not from an independent source. In the past month, the news websites have been saying how there has been a massive reduction in the number of whiplash claims across all insurance providers. Perhaps the AA Insurance arm have just been unlucky.0

The insurers will put whatever spin on matters they want using carefully chosen statistics in order to demonstrate whatever point they want to make.
They keep hooting about increase in the number of whiplash claims, but they don't announce that they are avidly buying or setting up law firms that they then use to push whiplash claimants into?
The rise in whiplash claims (if indeed there is hard evidence and not distorted data that is years old being quoted here) is due to insurers being more efficient at sniffing out potential injury claims when their customer reports a non-fault accident and the insurer then puts the customer through to the law firm they own to make a claim.
Any rise in claims is not as a result of the idiots who cold call people - although they need dealing with properly and the insurers also need to stop selling their data to the companies who then make the cold calls.
All problems the insurers bang on about ultimately lead back to their own doorsteps. Don't be fooled people.0 -
Indeed. Interesting how insurers are failing to get their stories synchronised though. Insurers saying that fraud has fallen (but Aviva say it's still rising). Direct Line axe their fraud dept yet others are increasing theirs.
I don't think they have a clue what's really happening, but as you said - it's all of their own making.0
