    Did it fail on the dipped beam? If it failed on the main beam you should appeal the fail as it's not a test item as long as it works and there's the blue warning light on the dash.

    dipped as far as i remember-dont go to halfords to have them replaced-it was too long after so i couldnt prove it

    Sent DVSA an email and have been given guidance on how to complain.

    I have sent a follow up email being more specific about the issues as I didn't want to send it to the wrong place!
