So even at £160k on a 3 year fixed at 95% Nationwide would be £782.85 a month

Definitely worth speaking with a decent local broker experienced with the HTB schemes get some facts and figures in front of you and take a look at the difference in properties available on either scheme.

Ultimately only you will know which is going to be right for you

We have a second appointment with Countrywide on Friday, hopefully it'll become clearer then. Another thing that worries me about new builds is the waiting time!

Oh my god, 3 bed end terraced house for that price?! I'm in Milton Keynes and everywhere here costs mega £££!

I'm in Kent, in a village that's only served by a train to London Victoria an hour. The town next door (served by regular trains to 3 London terminals, inc. HS1) prices for a similar house are, at least, £30-50k more.

Good job I don't commute to London anymore :rotfl:
