rejection can only be carried out upto 6months (on a new car) car must then be delivered back to the dealer and no longer driven. this must also be in writing to the head of business, only then have you formally rejected the car.
the finance company has every right to chase for the money owed. if the dealer knowingly hid the fault and you can prove the faults were there before - (you have to prove fault as it's over 6 months, under 6months and it's the sellers obligation to prove) then they have broken the law.0

            Still can't believe the finance was £13,000 for a £7995 car!0

Sister's finance is just as bad, £7000 - £8000 for a car that was worth under £3000.
Even though she only has 18 months left the finance is still more than the cars worth.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

When we tried to reject a new car with an intermitent fault we were advised by trading standards that we could not reject it as it belonged to the finance company. Only they could reject it.
They refused to do so because the car manufacturer told them there was nothing wrong with the car despite the many visits to the garage.
We paid off the finance and traded it in.0
