Plans when buying off plan

I would appreciate any help...
We brought a property off-plan via an estate agent working on behalf of the developers. I requested a copy of the plans at the time we purchased, but was informed that they were too big to photocopy. We took pictures of the plans, but the camera was subsequently stolen, so they have been lost.
We have completed now and there is a strip of land between our house and the garage which we were shown on the plans as belonging to our plot. Our neighbor believes that this is 'free' land and has plans for it. I am in dispute with the estate agents over another matter and even though the plans have our signature on them, they are refusing to give us a copy at the direction of their customer, the developers. I have a subject access request open, but I doubt they will send them to me. Can I access these plans anywhere else?
