The RRP is what Carcherel will have RECOMMENDED they sell the watch at. For them NOT to sell it at that price and offer it cheaper- is certainly NOT illegal.

What's wrong with sending them an e-mail? Amazon are taking the proverbial. I'm sure it only took a minute and it's certainly no skin off our noses. If Amazon say they were forged from the smelted remains of the meteorite that wiped the dinosaurs out then I'd say they are probably worth £219.

IMHO:

It might not be illegal but if Cacheral have said to the Amazon sales rep that the RRP is £219 but you can have em for a fiver a piece I'd say it's a bit unethical. It's hard to imagine the many savvy people on this site believing it was worth that price, but there will be many many people that do and they are being taken advantage of by a retailing behemoth that should better know better.

No quite right it isn't, but with watches there is generally a reason it is expensive other than the brand name. It will be expensive because of the workmanship and materials mainly...

That's how I see it anyway

(I haven't held teh watch, it could be fabulous value for money for all I know, I'm sure amazon would soon put a disbeliever straight on that if it were the case)

I was wondering about whether there was a rule that said that goods advertised at being full price had to have actually been on sale for 28 dys at that price or something.
