Tampered prepayment meters are charged approx £250, applied as debt on the new meter. No charges for other broken meters0

Looks like meter will be changed free of any charge as it has just feozen. Just worried about what crazy estimation e-on will come up with if there is a back dated payment. I dont have the money as we will have just moved to another property.0

You are probably worrying unnecessarily. Therefore if I were you I would wait for the supplier's suggested bill before considering the matter further as I would hope and expect it to be reasonable.
However if when you get it you believe it is erroneously high then you can dispute it and complain at that point. If you have been paying based on an earlier estimate then I would expect the supplier to fully reconcile any higher estimate that they come up with now against the previous estimate.
Also since you have done nothing wrong I would expect the benefit of any doubt in the estimation to be in your favour.
If you do get a high bill then post again at that time.0 -
Its very common to get electric meters gone down. the £20 Ampy meter is always doing it.the suppliers always estimate on past usage and are very fair. I have several occupliers who have had blank screens for years, they love it because they have very low direct debits. They then use electric heaters to keep their gas bills down.Believe it or not, when I find a blank screen I cannot report it to the supplier.Any reports on my hand held computer do not go through. My company, G4S have stopped passing on the info because they can t be bothered to do it, so I advise the occupier to personally phone the supplier themselves and if they dont fancy doing that, thats as far as it go s.G4S are useless and badly organised, the call centre staff are too busy doing smart meter appointments to worry about someone getting free electricity0

Do you also have to post those TV licensing calling cards?0 -
Will there be any charge to having the meter repair or replaced and if so would it be down to my landlord to pay??
Good morning,
We don't charge to replace a broken meter, so don't worry about this.
