Motability Car

Hello.
My HRM has been renewed and we've been looking at motability cars. However, my husband also uses the car to go to practice/gigs, but as I understand it, this wouldn't be allowed as the car wouldn't be being used for my benefit and we couldn't afford to run two cars (I don't drive.)
What do people do in this situation?

The obvious would be to use your DLA money to have an independent HP agreement and pay for your tax yourselves. That way you avoid the hiccups, and if anything goes wrong with your DLA / PIP claim and the car is at risk of being withdrawn. Much less stress in my view anyway as although just me it removed the worry of car being withdrawn. Plus at the end of it I actually own the car.0

What do people do in this situation?

- cheat and steal is what most people do, and always intended to do from the start
- everyone will find a self-serving way to justify the misuse of the vehicle and its accompanying blue badge
- it is not, and never was intended for anyone else, the truth is its the disabled themselves that are complicit
- I have long wished that contract rules were changed to bring in an offence of 'allowing the car to be used in a criminal act'
- report misuse here
The disabled should keep their own house in order, everyone knows the difference between right & wrong. You want to be treat by society in the right way, but bend the rules and warp the intended meaning of """disabled only person the benefit of the car""".
Misuse clearly includes:
• Not giving the disabled person the benefit of the car
• Driving whilst uninsured or banned
• Using the car in a criminal act
• Lending, sub-leasing or selling the car
• Using the car for unauthorised business purposes, for example, as a taxi or delivery vehicle
• Not taking proper care of the carDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. Thanks guys. I don't want to break any rules. I have a moral compass that firmly points to doing the right thing.2019 Wins

Another issue is that you'll lose your no claims bonus because it's a fleet insurance rather than your own.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
