Couple of months back I bought a cordless phone set which came with 3 handsets.
I now want to add one more handset.
Can I add any handset or it needs to be exactly same one?
PS: This is my model

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Looks like you just buy an extra handset and register it to the base unit as mentioned in the questions for that product you bought.
Edit: Sorry, I missed the main part about it working with other handsets! Will leave the answer above here just for reference in how it's done in case it's still needed.0 -
You wont be able to add "any" phone but there may be more than one model that will work with it.
I have a Siemens system and there are about 5 different handsets that work with it at last check. Not all features of all of the handsets are necessarily supported by my base station but the basics of phone calls, shared address book, voicemail etc are.
Check your manual to see how many handsets the base can deal with. Looking at http://eng.faq.panasonic.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11022/kw/how%20many%20handsets%20does%20KX-TGC223E%20support/p/5/related/1 it says all their phones work with all their base stations0 -

The Panasonic site suggest they are GAP compatible (check your manaul) so any phone from any maker that is GAP compatable will work. You don;t have to stick with the same make/model, and some lesser brands may be cheaper to buy a single handset wireless GAP compatible phone, and use it just as a charging base not a base station than to add another Panasonic handset0 -
I also have a Panasonic system that replaced a BT one. When setting the Panasonic up, I found that the BT handsets would register to it, but lots of functions did not work, so I bought a couple of Panasonic ones and can control everything on the base station from any of the handsets.0

GAP compatibility is pretty basic compatibility. Its limited to the real basics of make /receive calls, intercom/ internal call passing and the real simple nuts and bots of a call. Anything extra like controlling an answering machine, sending phone book from one handset to another , using one "master" phone book on the base station are all out of the GAP spec so down to makers to implement and they will all do it differently0
