Advice
Hi,
I need a loan of upto £3000 to put down as a deposit on a flat rental.
I have bad credit history and was made bankrupt 10 year ago.
I am full time employed with a good wage but cannot get credit from the bank for an overdraft etc.
What is the best way of trying to get a small loan amount with minimum repayments so I can help myself and not get into trouble again by using companies such as wonga etc (yes i got stung by them 3 years ago and am still paying for it)
Any advice would be appreciated please.

You say you have a bad credit history - what is actually showing on your credit files now?
What credit have you had since in the last 6 years and have you missed payments on anything in the last few years?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
The answer won’t be any different from your previous thread. You’ve tried the normal avenues of overdraft from your bank but as you yourself stated, they won’t allow you an overdraft and you have a poor credit history.
Your only choice is to budget and save the money yourself. £3k is easily doable on a full-time salary as long as you are disciplined to stick to your budget and cut back on unnecessary costs. You could also sell your old clothes, gifts, furniture etc to raise some extra money or get a second job.
Even the ridiculously high APR lenders, if you were looking at a £3k loan, it would cost you the same amount in monthly repayments as saving for 6 months would, plus you’d end up paying back £7.5k over the 2 year term which is plain ludicrous when you could just knuckle down and save.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I can't see anyone willing to lend to OP unless there is a fool out there who will guarantee the loan for him.0
