Why doesn't white bread freeze well?

They were talking to a woman on Bbc Breakfast this morning who was saying that's why so many people are sick all the time.
You should be replaceing the white bread for wholemeal.

I eat a mix of white/wholemeal/granary bread & rolls as well as fancy unsliced bread that I generally buy heavily reduced.
I use whatever bread I think goes best with what I'm serving it with.
I don't see anything wrong with having a bit of variety.
But I never buy cheap white bread & I wouldn't eat white bread exclusively.

dont know what you where watching - but there is nothing in that video that says that eating white bread makes you sick.Just that we should be eating more wholegrain ( from a variety of different sources )0 -
I have the same problem as Scarlet. I've sucessfully frozen sliced white loaves (Roberts's) but the tops always come off cobs even though I put them in a polythene bag first. Probably leave them in the freezer too long as others have said.0
