I’m really sorry, but I had to close down my giveaway 2h after my post went online. The reason is, that it has been picked up by spam and competition websites and within 2h I was flooded with thousands of spam accounts. My morning has been extremely exhausting from disqualifying people and contacting websites to remove my giveaway. I would have not been able to go through that hassle for another 4 days. That’s why I’ve closed the Rafflecopter form.

This makes me really sad, because I’d like to engage with my readers and target audience and not attract spam and robot accounts. My aim was to say Thank You to my fellow bloggers and also to gain valuable new readers. It really sucks the joy out of a giveaway plus it has taken me a lot of time preparing and executing this giveaway. In the future, I will refrain from competitions and release a separate statement in the next week.

I’m really sorry for anyone who looked forward to the competition, but I will not tolerate spam accounts on my blog, which I hope you can understand. For now I haven’t decided yet how to give away the two journals with regards to providing transparency and fairness.

Surely all you had to do was check the winner instead of putting yourself through this stressful thing you describe. That's what rafflecopter is for.

hi you/bloggers/members etc can ask for your/their competitions/giveaways etc NOT
to be posted on here very easily & then no-one would put them on here,


all you/they have to do is send a pm to

who would add your site/blog/comps etc to the list of ..

it would be great if someone sent her the link/s &
explained her comps would not be posted on MSE
comps board now she has let us know she doesn't want them posted on here,
I've sent relevant pm's to VG & MSE Megan,


can't speak for other comp sites posting them
but I do know MSE members have always
respected/not posted requested sites once we all know that they don't want them posted.
