Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello Everyone
La Escocesa - Glad you are feeling positive about the business, & getting some good support from fans.
Dawn - Hope your housework was fun :) As much as it ever can be.
Hannah - Oh dear, sorry to hear about your poorly one, is there much sign of improvement?
Carrie - I feel the same this month. Having son off for the easter break, and general entertaining of him has added up some what...ouch...
CupcakePrincess - Hello there, good to read your first post!
Foxgloves - apart from the fact your mention of fudge has just made my very empty belly growl (its ok nearly tea time) I am envious that you can make the stuff. I tried for quite a while a few years back, and could never crack it. It is my cooking nemisis :)
FVD - I love your meeting story. Ours is a teeny bit similar. I applied for a summer job at a bookies back when I was at uni. I never heard from them. I then applied for a job at DHs work & got it, as a summer role. I then found out that the bookies did want to hire me, but they'd sent the letter to no 2, not no 22, of our road. If they'd hired me first, I may never have met my lovely husband who I fell for in about 2 minutes flat. Fate. Sorry no house news as yet...
Polly- You have months to go of great savings in your new pot, as you say better late than never.

    Me today.
    1) Found 21p roadkill
    2) Got £2.50 in my tips jar
    3) Checked both sets of banking
    4) Had a personal NSD 6th of the month
    5) Cycled my new bike everywhere. Bargain at £84 from Decathlon in the end. 2 year frame warantee & 1 year parts, plus if I take it in within 2 months they'll service it for free.
    6) 10 days till OH gets paid & we can chop a teeny bit more of the CCs
    7) Put all my voucher for schools into my sons book bag, there was loads in there!
    8) Made sure we are all organised for the morning. Bags packed, lunch boxes ready, school clothes laid out
    9) Sent OH out now to look for bargain loaves at Mr T as its that time!
    10) Planning an early night after a lovely bath.

    Night all.
    Bob

  • Bobarella, you're right, I could have a couple of hundred quid in there by Christmas! Also, please could you explain about your 21p roadkill? I thought roadkill would be free. Am I missing something that regular money savers here do? I've never eaten roadkill, I'm curious :)

oh Polly that did make me chuckle :) :rotfl: yes it is an odd phrase I agree, but it's all part of the MSE lingo I cannot claim the credit. Same as I always now call gettingmark downs
YS-ing :) I had my own moment a few months ago when it finally dawned on me that Mr T's wasn't some northern chain I'd never encountered. :T

People are often confused by that phrase, as was I at first. But this did make me chuckle. I just visualised us all bidding on a squirrill and all grumble as we didn't want to go higher than 21p lol

    Evening all

Lovley day in the sunshine, few little walks, park, a little bit of gardening and yummy burgers in the garden :-D

Not a lot of DFWs today, but I have

    ~ all meals from stock
    ~ check banking and emails
~ just the one survey today
    ~ 1p roadkill
~ little bit of sorting out
~ a little catch up and giggles with my best friend (free socialising)

    Now I gotta,

    ~ put washing away
    ~ prep everything for tomorrow
    ~ a little tidying

    Xx

Hey, it could have been a pigeon - not much meat on a pigeon, 21p seems pretty fair :D
Bobarella, you've inspired me to collect roadkill...of the shiny, metal sort not the squashed, furry sort :p

Evening everyone. I haven't managed to post over the weekend nor today but I have been reading whenever I get the chance.

JOJO sorry to hear that you have been dumped. Most of us have dated blokes that are not really worth it.
