Lawyers in Court, who pull up 'past example' cases,Online Access to these past cases?

When both the claimant and defendant end up in court, for a case between them
the lawyer/ attorney of both challenge the case, back and forth in front of the judge and jury,
and when they pull past cases of past 'similar' cases to this case, and bring it infront of the judges presence
like this:
"There was a similar case to this, in 2013, where XYZ happened, to this other person, etc etc"
in order to help this lawyers' argument, pulling up past examples.
Now back to the question:
Where are these types of past cases held /stored online, so that anybody can access them ?
(for researching)
in a library online?
That they can be accessed? (by anyone that is) ?
or any sites, where you have to mabey pay a fee?
So, past cases, from any type of law such Immigration, Family Law, money claims, etc etc..
Also a database/access to Worldwide cases would be handy too (not just the UK)
and I mean detailed versions, of the cases (not really summaries)
Thanks

A lot of case law can be found on the internet.
At the same time, I've argued various things when representing someone in court and there has been nothing printed on it at all, except on the court paperwork itself. I've only usually dealt with the County Court however, not those higher up.💙💛 💔0 -
Civil law doesnt typically have jurys
http://www.brookes.ac.uk/library/law/caselaw.html gives you some of the main sources for English law. The main being http://www.iclr.co.uk/
Some cases, like most Family Law, are not reported0 -
I assume that as this is a money saver site, the OP is looking for a free resource?
In which case, see my post in the duplicate thread

Look for a book called Archbold. Updated and published every year. Think it costs about £500.0

Really OP, I think you should give up on this, clearly you can't afford proper legal advice and I think without it your case is going nowhere.
To answer your question, cases are available on legal databases such as Westlaw and Lexis Library, but unless you have access through an employer or university I would expect the cost for an individual to be very high.0 -
If a case is heard in a Court in England & Wales, then only the laws/cases pertaining to England & Wales are admissable.
You might possibly find case law lists such as Westlaw and Lexis in the printed form in libraries - but there you would need to know the case name first. As Agrinnall says, a subscription to Westlaw or Lexis could cost as much as appointing a solicitor.0 -
Bailii (Google it) is free and has an extensive searchable collection of full length judgments.0
