debt relief order and defaults on account

I took out a debt relief order in may 2009 and have really learnt my lesson.
Anyway its due to drop off my credit file in may this year so i took a look at my credit file. I noticed that 4 of the creditors on the DRO have got my account as closed/settled in may 2010 and therefore the default will stay on my account until 2016.
I was under the impression that once the DRO had been put into place nothing further could be added to my credit file from that date. I contacted these 4 companies and only 1 have replied at the moment. They said that I am wrong and that yes the DRO was made in may 2009 but the debt is upheld for 1 year and the account is not classed as closed until 1 year later which is the discharge. It is then that they update my credit file and it is 6 years from that date.
Is that correct?
thanks

Any defaults I got happened weeks to months after the DRO (I was a 2012'er) so I think you have every expectation to have the same, seems to me these DRO's have different strokes for each of the years, like there is no rhyme or reason, none other then a really not so well thought out debt solution in the end
If the creditors are being difficult go straight to the CRA's as one of my last defaults to go wants me to prove the DRO did discharge when it clearly shows in court information there is/was a DRO for 6 years from x date - a lot to be said for the days of expecting an accurate credit report
I've yet to try the ICO and the likes as yet, I'm hoping the CRA will talk sense : /0 -
