    exactly.
    the worst thing she can do is keep her finances combined with his.
    she needs to be financially responsible for her own bills, and for him not to have any financial links to the property ( he needs to change his car insurance, bank accounts, loans, council tax liability etc to his new address as soon as possible)
    obviously the mortgage is unavoidable
