I have not tried any other browsers yet as to be perfectly honest I have tried most of the others in the past and could not get used to them
But things change, Chrome is probably the easiest to get used to. What version of Internet Explorer are you using? To find out open IE and at the top right hand side is a cog wheel. Click on that and a menu will appear. The last entry is "About Internet Explorer" click on that a box will appear telling you the version number. Also the Install new versions box should be ticked.
You really need to help us a little more with information or we are all wasting our time trying to help you.0 -
the version is
IE 11.0.9600 17728
Update version
IE11 0.180 -
Would suggest you now download and install Google Chrome to see if it nakes any difference. You can always uninstall it after the test if you really hate it.

I have tried chrome for example on ebay and were before it was freezing it did no do it,
when I tried ebay again on windows with the same search criteria it started freezing again.
I tried chrome on my normal (non ebay) browsing without problems
I would guess that I have a program which is conflicting with windows0 -

Suggests the problem is with Internet Explorer (the browser) not the windows program itself. Go back into Internet Explorer, click the Cog wheel (top right) then "internet options" then the "advanced" tab. at the bottom of the "advanced" tab is a button called "Reset" click that then tick the delete personal settings box then restart your computer.
Once it's restarted go back into Internet Explorer and try your Ebay and other frequently visited sites. Report back if it's ok or still the same.0 -

Try the System Restore suggested by Grumpycrab at post #7 above. I don't think the two issues are related.0
