What date does Halifax pay the £5

I'm sure this must have been covered before but my searching hasn't found any answers.

Is there a particular day of the month that Halifax pays the £5 into the Reward current a/c?

My account was opened mid March and had £750 paid in during March.

Its usually around the 2nd.

The direct debits didn't commence until beginning of April...so I guess I should expect the £5 credit on 2nd May.

Well you didn't search very hard as this question gets asked every month. Its usually the 2nd working day of the month.

I thought it was about checking checking they received their due "interest". Not cash flow.

The Halifax Reward Terms and Conditions specify very clearly that

If you qualify, you will receive one reward payment which will be paid into your Reward Current Account by the second working day of the following calendar month.

Paying £750 in during a month isn't enough to qualify so you may have to review your arrangements.

You will find that regular forumites are too busy in real life to wait for questions from people who haven't read the T&Cs for their accounts (even though they confirmed to their banks that they read them)
