HI, my dogs was put on seraquin following hip injury - 2mg tabs
- have seen these for around £20 on line.
But Holland and Barrett do the same sort of thing for £16.99 - it has the same amounts and proportions of glucosamine and chondroiton -
however, I then looked at the 'human' equivilant they sell -
their high strength joint care tablets have exactly the same specifications and are currently on offer at £8.99 for 60!
The seraquin has chicken extract in it to make it palatable - apart from that the specs are almost exactly the same..0 -
Olive oil is not recommended now ,its been proven to be harmful
Salmon oil on the other hand is highly recommended and dogs love it
No way an alternative to prescribed medication though .0 -
Found this thread from a Google search for Seraquin, got me thinking re buying online, went back and found 6 x 60 tablets Seraquin from VetUK for £100. Half the price of my vets so thank you MSE.0

I use Synoquin as advised by my vet but for a cat. It's £30 a pack for 900

After being charged over £30 for synoquin tablets I now never buy from the vets directly. They are loads of websites which provide alternatives, just ask the vet what ingredients are needed. Alot of medicine can be brought online without a prescription so worth having a look.
Also good to remember that manor pharmacy do alot of specialist foods and meds for our cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens and horses, don't get ripped off.Hopeful optimistic.0
