    Do you have ANY of the emissions sheets?
    Even the first fail?
    This could well go a long way in disputing any repairs. Although I appreciate your here for a different problem

    If you are asking me; it was a Rover metro 1.1l carburettor model.

    Maybe in the OPs case, they have fitted poor quality aftermarket lambda sensors that do not suit the car.

    I wont claim to know the physics of it all but with my old Saxo that was low mileage, mainly just driving around town and then only at weekends, and used to have MOT issues with emissions.

    The garage I used recommended similar to above, put some "cleaner" in the petrol tank and go for a long motorway drive the day before the test. Never failed for emissions again.
