Who Pays For Possession Order?

I have been told that the council won't give me the Priority Banding I*d been told I'd get unless a Possession Order (and S21 before that of course) is served on me.

Who pays for this.., the LL or tenant? I am assuming this will mean court costs and solicitors fees for the LL. I am on Income Support. the only thing I've been able to find out is that the Judge decides who pays.

If this is true.., how does he decide? Will me being on income support affect this? If I need to pay, will I be allowed to pay over time?

My LL wants to sell the house I am living in.

The court will decide and is likely to order you to pay.
At the moment it's £280 plus potentially close to £100 in legal costs.

Write to your MP and your local councillors because this is a huge scandal that no-one seems to care about at the moment. Unfortunately you have to pay :(

The court will not be interested in your dealings/application with regard to council housing. They will look only at the private tenancy agreement.

If the LL has properly served a S21, and then had to apply for possession, the court is likely to order costs against you. At that point they will look at your income, and may order you to pay the costs over a period of time (eg £X per week/month) based on your income and assets.
