ROI of index funds?

What kind of interest do people tend to get on index funds? Is it above 5%, above 10%? I'm trying to work out priorities with the current accounts we have and what to do when the annual 6% accounts mature and our stash spills out of the current account pool.

They get a mixture of capital gains and dividends or interest. The average long term return depends on the fund held and the return is variable. Some funds could return 20% one year and -20% the next.0

Depends on whether the tracker fund is following any equity index (in which case it would be nil) or a fixed interest securities index (in which case it would depend on the yield). Is it above 5%, above 10%?
Depends on the risks you take and what happens in the future.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
