4 x passport renewal signed forms and pics (completed online) in one envelope?

Hi all.

I'm trying to renew our family passports (2 adults and 2 kids). I completed the details and prepaid online so didn't have to handwrite it all out. I'm just waiting on getting the countersignatures back for the children before I send off.

When I completed it online, it was for 1 lump sum payment order, and one large document with umpteen sheets to print (most of which turned out to be guidelines anyway).

As it is a renewal I should send it special delivery I think........but I'm wondering, would I be ok putting all 4 applications in one envelope? I've googled it and found some suggesting ok with 2 applications together. Not sure if they would perhaps cause problems if theres 4 forms, and 4 lots of photos to sort through in one envelope (or they may slap my face on her passport :P)

Any ideas? Special delivery for 4 x letters at around £6+ each adds up a bit.

Paper clip each photo to the correct form.

thanks - good idea - now if I can only find those damn paper clips I've had for the past 10yrs with no use

If you cannot find them put each set into separate envelopes {sealed} then put all into the main one {job done} :0)

I've just picked up a passport renewal form from the Post Office and the envelope states on the back that if you are applying for several passports at the same time to put them all in one envelope but to check the weight for postage charges

It makes sense to put them together anyway for when they need to cross reference the parents passport numbers on the child forms.

I actually have the envelopes with the paper application forms, from when I was going to do them....I guess the only potential issue could be getting an envelope within envelope if all same size.....but paper clips should do - found them

What I did notice mind, on the paper forms, the envelopes have prewritten address for Durham on them.

The printed application forms from completing it online say to send to a different address in Liverpool....oh well - may aswell use the envelopes anyway....but prob best to change that address....as I'm guessing it could be only the Liverpool address deal with online applications

The paper form I picked up today didn't have an address on it, but the enclosed notes just said post to the address on the enclosed envelope. The address I have is 101 Old Hall Street, Liverpool L3 9BP

liverpool address on the online applications is different to that too
, though its a PO Box address

HMPO, PO Box 2000, Liverpool, L69 3FQ

Maybe when I got the forms in the post, I was given the Durham address ones as that city is local to me

Odd....google L69 3FQ and it says no longer in use. If enter it on google maps, it takes to the L3 9BP address

I would definitely send it Special Delivery.

And I would send it to the address given on your online application, not the address on the envelope you got with the paper application form.

It makes no difference which office you send them to. They all get printed in the same place anyway. You can send them all in the one envelope but make sure it's strong as it can get damaged and the contents disappear don't use paper clips as the leave a dent in the photo and you will have to send in a new one
