Barclays Bank and Barclaycard

I am really annoyed here. 3 months ago I opened a Barclays current account. The protocol for setting up payments is different that Santander where you set them up and then pay. So I set up the first one and it asked me to pay the beneficiary, as I did not have the amount owed I payed them a nominal amount of £1.00 which I now see to be an error
Before any other transactions happened they shut down my account and refused to tell me why. Today Barclaycard shut down my credit card. I have never been refused credit in 28 years. Barclaycard also refuse to tell me why. Its clear to me that this error I made with the £1.00 payment has triggered this. My fear is that I am due to move in 3 weeks and my mortgage is going to be with Barclays.
Does anyone know how I can actually speak to someone at Barclays and relay this information, all I get back from them is " computer says no", they will not listen to me and just keep shutting everything I have with them down.
I have bank accounts and credit cards with all the major players and Barclays is the only one shutting my things down

Why have you become so keen recently to give your custom to Barclays?
Take the hint - they obviously don't want it from you.
As you say, you already "have bank accounts and credit cards with all the major players"0 -
Very helpful, thanks0
