On this point, I will say something in the defence of carers.
There are many people that work in a full time job AND provide care for over 5 hours a day - 7 days a week.
They are precluded from getting ANY financial help for those extra 35 hours a week when they provide care!
35 hours a week is NOT a full time job - tell that to those that work 5, 12 hours shifts a week AND care for their partner all day/night Saturday and Sunday.
I care for my wife 7 days a week 14 hours a day/night and I don't get any financial help nor does my wife receive any compensation for her difficulties via benefits, but is it a full time job? No, I don't see it as.0
