So it appears I managed to find a few RTC that were already found tonight. Ah well, better to repeat in case anyone missed them rather than ignore.

Was originally post 1, then I did 2 of 3 (to indicate I wanted one more in case "the List" expanded), then found someone had posted between my 1 and 2, so I did another 2 of 3 (to change the first 2 of 3 to 1 of 3), before adding 3 of 3, then going back and deleting the original post 1. Short is I now have my three posts in a row - though struggling with new laptop and first part I've so far managed to get here has now turned entirely bold and is refusing to go back to plain text. (I think it's the browser - I'll have to go back to my 'regular' one once I, finally, get round to downloading it onto this new system, that I'm now stuck with for the next X number of years (I'll get used to it). Benefit is at least, although I'm hitting wrong keys, it seems to be correcting my typing quite well as I'm going.)0 -
I'm loving the election! Because I am a bit of a nerd I enjoy facts and figures (what a surprise i enjoy it here too
) so it has been a real pleasure to follow the debates and yell corrections at the tv. Have learnt loads. I also follow a lot of MPs on Twitter and have a favourite candidate for the next London mayor. I don't think he'll win but he talks very sensibly about need for more social and (genuinely) affordable housing in London and how we might best achieve that.
The debate last night was probably my favourite yet. Hilarious and fascinating in turn. I know all politicians bend statistics but it's the made up figures I have a problem with :rotfl:
You mean like http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/david-cameron/11534619/Conservative-manfesto-key-policies-David-Camerons-plan-to-win-the-General-Election.htmlThe Conservatives will also "entrench in law" the principle that no-one working up to 30 hours a week on the minimum wage should ever pay income tax.
Personal tax allowance being £10,600 and 30 hours per week x 52 x £6.70 being £10,452.
That kind of stuff ?0 -

I did a have a smile a little earlier when the Ten O'Clock News mentioned their 'Build Your Own Majority' as their election "game" - it sounded fun:D. Nonetheless, the election is a bit more serious than a "game", which I think trivialises it and therefore should not be described like that from our supposed public service broadcaster.
To be honest, I wish they would just get on with it and have the voting now. It's going on wayyy too long in my view and still barely halfway through the 'official' part of the campaign. Still weeks to go - but I won't level criticism at anyone for that as I am now, at that point, coming off my pretence of impartiality.
Btw, I'm a nerd too and I do find facts and figures interesting. However, I wonder how the public more generally would feel about it - not as enthused as me I suppose, and I wish we'd have the vote now rather than sitting through and waiting weeks. However, I also guess the public generally has more life than news channels and therefore they can be watching around and watching other things and don't have to be tuned in to it!
Whilst criticising that election "game" btw, I shall probably be playing it all night at some point:rotfl:.0 -
