If Mr t sells those you could do a t v s shop and use the £1 moc from the mag on a £5 birdseye spend;)

And get 12p on each pack , well worth a pp shop

Popping in just to say to Nanny...

Sorry about the boiler but dont give up totally on it....a lot will depend on the age of it and also the availability of parts so it might be that whilst one company or engineer cant get them another one can....it might be worth a few phone calls tomorrow with the make and model number to local heating engineers to see if they can help.

My boiler breakdown would have cost £499 for british gas to fix if they could have located parts....but in the end a local heating firm fixed it for £75....so it does sometimes pay to shop about if you are able to.

On the subject of a new boiler again get a quote from saga, their prices are quite competative but again go independant also as whilst you may be offered 25% discount a local company could quite easily match or beat the quote.....and remember dont get caught up in someone telling you that its a whole new central heating sysytem you need unless thats what you actually want....it is perfectly ok to swap in a new boiler and your existing pipework and radiators will be fine..

take some time to think about it thats a very wise move and actuallyits the best time of the year for negotiating a discount on heating with the summer approaching....as you say you've got LaLa to help so hopfully it will all be nice and warm in the end x
