Good afternoon :(just been told my boiler is uneconomical to repair:eek: I need to speak saga as they do not cover the replacement cost ,but I do believe they give you £250 towards a new one so need to get my head round this as was not prepared for this huge expense at the moment:(

Seeing other peoples troubles on here today I feel mine is very small compared but feel better offloading to you all..thankyou x

Sorry to hear this nanny but is it worth getting a second opinion, the only reason I say this is that's what nan was told but we had a small firm come out to check and they fixed it and it's still going so worth a thought x

Making certain assumptions about your age here, and don't know if it works for a busted boiler, but this might be worth a look

Amazon will require £20 minimum spend for orders for free delivery from 6pm today

... so is this the impact of making them pay tax and other expenses like any other business ...?

    Afternoon

I've returned from my little jaunt to the father land :D I'm knackered! I left before 6am this morning, did my doings and got back in time for the school run.

My day has had a strange turn of events though! I received a call from DS2 school whilst I was out. It was in regard to what they referred to as 'low level bullying' :( I don't have all the details yet but it seems a group of children have been caught picking on/bullying DS2. He hasn't said a single word to me about any of it and hasn't displayed any sign at all of being upset or worried.

Anyway, it seems that they've taken swift action in dealing with it and have made it official with reports etc. They also informed me that the children carrying out this bullying have been placed in isolation.

I wasn't ready for the next part though. School have asked me if I would go in and sit down with these children and talk to them about Autism and how it affects DS2. I've never come across such a strategy before and I'm not really sure what to think. Not had time to get my head round it :o They wanted me to do it today but as I was nearly 200 miles away, that wasn't an option  so it's happening tomorrow.

I've never been a running to school, all guns blazing every time someone says something negative to him sort of parent. I accept that he'll have negative experiences because he's different but this situation would appear to be a bit more than that.

There are 5 of them so I'm feeling a bit daunted :o but I am keen to do it. Getting angry isn't going to solve the situation but enlightening kids who are probably ignorant rather than nasty might.

Sorry for long post. You people are the only adult ears I have access to at the moment :D :A

Oh my fairclaire you are a real inspiration. How on earth do you manage all this juggling and now this bullying malarkey on top. It's a great idea to talk to the bullies and explain DS illness - I hope you get a positive response - big hugs

Oh I see. I will remember that for next time.Thanks.

There's a early 9am update too but generally if a multi is off around 1pm then should be fine for results later that day.

This is my experience of the old apg site, new site could be different.
