Did anyone see the programme 24 hours in the past? It was about working in Victorian Britain. OMG I'm so glad I wasn't born then  It seemed like nothing but hard graft amongst the filth and no pleasures in life, not even a comfy bed for the poor  Makes me think how lucky we are to have the technology that makes our lives easier0

Good morning,
I have just been doing a CC order and noticed a good deal on Tropicana orange juice
Tropicana Essentials Calcium Smooth Orange Juice (850ml)
(2)
Tesco
£1.24
any 2 for 1
14.6p / 7.3p / 100ml Valid until 19/05/2015
ASDA
£2.48
any 2 for £4.00
Sainsbury's
£2.20
any 2 for £4.00
Ocado
£2.48
any 2 for £4.00
Not sure if it will go through the till at this price, but the offer of half price and then BOGOF is on t and msm websites.
My CC is booked for tomorrow and the offer started today, so hopefully will show up on the apg.
Will update tomorrow unless someone gets to A or T today.0 -
There's something strange (isn't there always?) on sains.co.uk regarding the ICB 1Kg original spread. On the product page it says
"Only £1.00: Save £1.80
PLUS Only £2.00: Save 80p".
When you click on one of these, it goes to another page - also a product page:doh: - for example I have one that gives the title of the product in black and, underneath, in red, it says "Only £1.00 Save £1.80" (although this appears on a page headed "Only £2.00 Save 80p". Clicking on the "Only £1.00 Save £1.80" then changes that to "Only £2.00 Save 80p" (whilst the header becomes the "Only £1.00" indicator).
It seems to me they didn't intend the spread to be £1.00! They seem to have put it at £1 but then tried to correct the error but, instead, succeeded in adding a second price. (This part of their mistake gives good fun though:D:rotfl::rotfl: as showing both prices and both sets of claims together rather gives the lie to the minimisation of the price in the "Only" £2.00 claim - why would you save just 80p (there I now go, with my own minimisation of the saving:rotfl:) when you can save £1.80?)
I've no idea from this what the price actually is. Two prices on the same item at the same time! And they aren't different mbuy deals for example 2 for £x but 3 for £y! Maybe it will be £1, or maybe it is £2. I hope they don't charge £3:rotfl: (£1 PLUS £2).
I notice that the price per kg though does not change even when it changes through to the £2 price. So, if it really is £2, then they may be breaking the Price Marking Orders, which require a price per unit on many items, or otherwise the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading rules, by stating an untrue price per kg.:rotfl:
Always like it when I find a potential breach of the law!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It appears £1 got through to msm, although I don't know whether the dual pricing was on sains.co.uk earlier or whether it has only today appeared. I don't know what the situation is when there are two prices for the same product, or maybe the pick the lowest price, I don't know.
I'm concerned about whether this has been updated on the APG to show the £1 price. I note term 4 of the old site APG rules says:
"Prices are updated on the ASDA Price Guarantee by 12pm each day ... . If you perform a Check prior to 12pm, prices may not have been updated on the ASDA Price Guarantee yet. In exceptional circumstances prices may be updated after 12pm. In this scenario prices reflected on your Check will be the prices of the previous day."
I do not want the last-mentioned thing to happen at all!
I know that we know there is an approximate 6am update, that usually happens. However the above is suggesting that it may not happen until 12 noon or, in rare circumstances, might not happen until even later than that. On the one hand I want to get an updated price of £1 from this morning but don't want msm suddenly to pick up £2 and change to that early this afternoon and then an update around midday immediately to change to that new £2 price. That's if msm suddenly picks up £2 for some or no apparent reason.
Wasn't the APG old site also down temporarily yesterday evening? That might delay the 6am update and it might only be noon, or even after (and then might be £2 if msm has changed in the meantime). I haven't been aware of any occasion when there has not been a morning (6am approx.) update - but this is why I am thinking maybe we are due an "exception":(. The price file might well be due for update - end of the month? First few days of last week of the month? Which, again, could delay things - not that I know anything at all, I'm probably wrong.
Anyway, I just hope that the £1 prices have been picked up and that nothing changes from that when I get back from M in 3 hours' time. Trust it to change to £2 in my absence and then I get that when I come back to check:(! It's probably okay as the £1 price is there on sains.co.uk (even if £2 is also there:eek::rotfl:). Never mind, it's too late now in any event as I've already done the shop! I managed to buy "a few" ICBs - would have got even more if I had not already bought some small Bertollis:( last week as we were running out of spread and it was getting desperate - with me waiting and waiting for a £1.37 Morries offer on the ICB that never came. I also got some A Buttery Spread, which had then gone to 90p - no idea how Evangeline manages to get £1.67!:rotfl: Anyway, I shall try the Sada Price Risk later on.0 -

A ponderance for you all then....
What's the one thing, technology-wise, the Elite wouldn't like to live without? (apart from APGs, PPs and wombles of course)
