    Random question :)
Can anyone help/point me in the right direction, please?
I need to get an armchair that tilts but is also a wheelchair for my dad asap. (I think that they are called tilt and space). I've googled and only come up with armchairs with castor wheels or wheelchairs. TIA.

Only ever had separate for my mum MKS, had to transfer unfortunately. Used commode indoors if needed wheeling to bathroom as slightly smaller than a wheelchair.

Never heard of anything like you describe. Sorry xx

ps I would have thought going on the mechanism in my mum's tilt arm chair that would have been pretty heavy and difficult to push anything like that? The arm chair laid back for sleeping and helped standing by tilting the seat forward until person was in almost standing position.

Is this the sort of thing you mean?

AJ....im so sorry that you are having a bad time.its really bad that they have to make up stuff about beds like that.there are some lovely nurses and a few who are just there for the money and will only do as much as they can get away with.it is awful becos these are the ppl you have to rely on wen at your worst and kindness will go along way at this time.
the nhs is at the top of the agenda atm due to election, but I dont think throwing money is the solution.so much is wasted that could be saved.my mum worked as a nurse for over 30 years and has seen the decline as soon as they got rid of the matrons.she told me that the nurses now are glorified doctors instead of concentrating on patients.training was all hands on thenbut now the nurses have so much to learn , alot of the basic stuff is missed, like putting the patient first.
I have seen nurses gossiping at their stations, watching ebay stuff finishing, while patients lites were ignored, and visitors having to look for nurses, who scattered when rumbled....
I have also seen them trying to care for a full ward of patients with only 2 nurses.one hospital has recently been fined 6 million pounds for treating too MANY patients...this money comes out of the budget meant to treat ppl!!!!

I apologise to all health workers who go above and beyond and to whom their job is a vocation becos they really earn the wages....but it is shameful that aj hasto sign herself out to get the proper, decent aftercare she needs.
I wish you a speedy recovery, AJ, take care.xx:A
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

I have access to new and old apg systems :j

I've been messing around with proxy servers and somehow have the new one in chrome and the old in chrome when incognito!

..so I reckon the APG is looking at IP addresses/locale information to enable a cookie (or flash cookie).

That would make sense, as I got the new site yesterday, then reset my router and managed to get back the old one that I prefer (even though it seems I could be losing out on some occasions), so presumably my IP address changed.
