ChelseaFred wrote: »Yes, I agree but as I said I checked on here and MSM before and during my shopping. Usually if an item is OOS* on MSM it is ok to compare but if it is OOS** it is a bit dubious. I believe that I did buy the correct item, description, size & price all matched. So I did "check for myself".
I think I have explained already that I am willing to take the risks but if it doesn't work I try to report on here as soon as possible to warn others of the potential risk.
All part of the game but surely the idea is to help each other?

Except if you're on the new APG site in which case they might not have the item for the competitor at all.
Or, maybe, will have the item even when the old one does not - the following items are comparing against same price at T on the new site, but all of them have gone beyond OOS on msm - to the point that they now show T as "---", not even a price and OOS marking - and are N/A for T on the old site:
SP Chocolate Swiss Roll
Salad Tomatoes (6)
Egg Custards (4 pack) £1.00 vs £1.00 - but I think these were 90p in T before:rotfl:.
The SP Cooked Ham (400g) - *not* the Wafer Thin version which appears to be OOS for A - is comparing best vs Sains. on the new site only, for 10% off S's a bit more expensive price of £1.55.
Meanwhile, I've lost my Walls Max lollies comp.:( (£1.50 mbuy adjusted price:( vs 99p T) - new site only - N/A on old.0 -
I can't catch up properly because I'm knackered
but well done to to Tasha and TS friend in the marathon.
On that subject I've had an email from just giving about someone I sponsored in the past doing the great north run? I can't remember who it was:o but it seems they are doing it again this year. It's for a charity very close to my heart so if it is you or yours can you give me a nudge by PM please
just to remind me who you are. If it helps I think 2 children are joining in this year?
I don't want to put real names on here.

I am being chicken... I daren't take these items ... can you imagine airport security finding the secret stash!
I have popped two scarfs in there.... impromptu handcuffs/tape. No idea what I can sub for the whip!! May just have to use my hand to slap him :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks, but I know all that :rotfl:
Morries is done by instore collection and the two systems are giving different results so it suggests they've changed that collection agency too
Also the new system is picking up more of the items purchased in A than the old one did
I can't imagine they'd pay two agencies to do price collections in M on the same dates. Nonetheless, the Whitworths 2Kg sugar comparing on one site but not the other did confound me. Something to do with description maybe rather than two price collections? That the description on the new detects the Silver Spoon 2Kg sugar at £1.20 in M, but the old site's description of the product does not have that data.0 -

Here are the differences between the same comparison posted by savvy sal (from old APG) and bubbs (from new APG)
The prices below go in this order:
Price in A, then comparison on old system, followed by comparison on new system
ASDA Blueberries (125g) £2.00 £2.00 N/A
ASDA Butcher's Selection Boneless Chicken Thigh Fi... £7.16 £6.86 N/A
ASDA Chosen by You Sliced Tiger Chest Bread (800g) £1.00 N/A £0.65
ASDA Red Pepper £1.34 £1.18 N/A
ASDA Whole Cucumber £0.49 £0.49 N/A
Carex Aloe Vera & Eucalyptus Moisturising Antibact... £0.87 £0.75 N/A
Coca Cola (15x330ml) £4.43 £4.69 N/A
also, this was missing on the old APG but showed on the new APG:
Heinz A Magnificent Mayonnaise (595G) £2.89 N/A
ETA: The magnificent heinz mayo that doesn't appear on the old APG isn't on MSM. It is on A.com though and appears on the new system  Does the new system pick up everything you buy or just everything that is on A.com
ETA2: another interesting point, these were both comparisons v Morries....so are they using a different agency to collect instore now? I didn't expect any difference to M comparisons
I reckon a.com as that's what the T&Cs say. However, it's always possible for something to work in a way not mentioned in the T&Cs - on the different price scheme, for example, on Sains BM the T&Cs say that the products have to be exact same size but this wasn't always applied in practice - the system (at least a few years ago) did compare on slight weight adjustments although this is not stated in the T&Cs: http://press.which.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/16-19_SupermarketPriceMatching_R3.pdf (table on page 17, and also page 19). Just catching up and lovely to see that my reporting of the ck1 not working yesterday has led to fb groups being slated again.
Contrary to belief, very few people in the fb groups read or post on mse nowadays for what ever reasons.
I just happened to see a single comment elsewhere that the ck1 had not worked. It was actually some time Fri that it was reported and I believe by someone that doesn't use mse. It was most probably overlooked by others or got lost in other posts.
As soon as I realized it hadn't been reported over here, I reported it.
If that wasn't quick enough for those that want to have a dig then tough. In between working nights and caring for family, I, like many others, don't always get time to keep up.
If I'd known that my reporting it would have caused all this slating of fb groups, to which I belong, then I would have thought twice about posting it in the first place.
Hi wacky,
Hope you don't mean me, you were the first to report the CK1 not working I believe, but others mentioned later that it hadn't worked for them a few days before.
I am not part of any fb group so would not know what goes on there but I try to report as best I can, as soon as I can. I also work nights and have a family to look after. I merely mentioned the late information of others in a shopping report and it was followed up by others.
Sorry if there has been any misunderstanding, we all work together with a common interest and to help each other on here. The Elite squad do a brilliant job and we all share info where possible,
Cheers,
ChelseaFred:)0
