To sum it up for me

    Pre-elite shopping bill...........Approx £120.00 pw in Sainsburys

Elite shopping bill now............Approx £5 pw from a variety of stores

Ok there were 4 of us then but still:eek:

Meemo it's not so much that they won't divulge it but that the admin of the group insist this is not allowed and only posts about how much people found or where they wombled are acceptable.

Someone else posted showing what items had been cheaper and admin removed it.

    seriously? That's ridiculous

TS have you sorted the manor out?

Well still no idea why the wash room walls are spongy, it rained really hard and we could not see where if it is getting in. Not sure if some of what I have found is historical, maybe I need a damp meter to test. And also all along the front window sill there is mould spots but Dettol mould and mildew spray didn't touch it think it is under the laminate but all the walls feel solid as does the window shelf so not sure what going on there. Maybe just condensation.

But everything is working, fridge, cooker, and I even sussed out how to get the much needed heating on last night. :j

Problem with the water works couple times the pipe kept disconnecting and had water pumping outside emptying the aqua roll but think sorted that now.

It's like having another house to look after.

I didn't tackle the bunk mattresses, seriously thinking about replacing them if all ok with the outside leaks. The water was running off the roof brilliantly where we mended it. :T And the bubbles inside the locker have shrunk back so assuming we have sorted that one. :D

    Thanks for asking. ;)

    No it's still there:)

    It's a braces smile:)

Found it, thanks bubbs and TM. I had seen the post but it just didn't register that it was FC's DD2 holding the sign

All I can say is ..... what a cheeky smile, bless him, and he does look so happy. Glad you didn't let him know it wasn't really E's birthday .............. now that would have taken some explanation
There are many, many people who use the Elite thread as a way of saving cash. I believe that for a lot of people, this thread is a lifeline without which they would really struggle.

Some of the people who use this thread are 100% lurkers. This is fine by me, as although they give nothing back, I love the idea that we can help them and their families by showing them how they can make shopping cheaper and improve their standard of living.

Some people who post on the elite thread are 100% takers. This cannot be avoided, there will always be takers in all walks of life..

Some of the elite are 100% givers, those people who take a real pleasure in helping people and it brings a huge smile to their faces when online friends save money and help their families.

Then, there are the vast majority of the elite who just post because they want to. Some bring their own bargains and glitches and some copy them across from elsewhere. Some are funny, some post pictures of cakes, some post recipes, some chat about baked spuds, lots offer emotional support to those who need it and some just post complete nonsense just like my old mate dotty..:p Every one of these posters is as valuable as the next because they all bring something different to the party. FGS, I'm sure some of us are even starting to worry about what has happened to old Locarr..:rotfl::rotfl:

I work full time as does my wife. We have two kids who do many different activities so time is short for us too. I cannot spend my life on here on the off chance that someone might ask a question about one of my glitches. I make the assumption that most of us have been around for a while and if I take the time to propose or confirm a glitch, most of you are savvy enough to dot the 'I's, cross the 'T's and decide whether you want to go for it or not.

Anyway, we are all different and are all here for our own different reasons. Stop all the bloody whingeing and start loving and respecting every member of the elite, most of us are very nice people, really..:D:D

    Wonderful post SFSB :T :T :T
