My point was that you may have the benefit of having 9 at the discount price (rather than having to buy 10 to get the 10 for £4 multi discount to kick in) which then neatly matches against 3x3 for £1 offer in W (rather than the 10th matching 68p to 68p - still 6.8p back on apg off your 40p purchase price though).

In real terms it is only a marginal gain, but may be less than 16p each then?

I don't think this would work.I think you you pay £5.04 for 9.
    Haven't tried it though.:D

But surely isn't the glitch the benefit of paying less in the first place and therefore, beyond the first 6, having an mbuy that then is no-show? Otherwise, with 9, aren't you paying a total of 6 for £3, which is seen, and then three at full price = total £5.04. That then reflects on the APG as 6 for £3 and 68px3, which is exactly what you paid. Rather than paying £4 (10 for £4) and then 6.8p extra APG, which is actually a net of £1.108 more ([9 for] £5.04 - [10 for] £4.00 + 6.8p 10% on the tenth Muller) and gives you that extra Muller for that £1.108 less cost.

Or maybe 12 is the way to go?

(On this last point, I don't know as it's then buying more in order to make a 'saving' - this mbuy game of the supermarkets again - maybe a bit more to say on this in my next post - where you are buying more in order to pay less on each one, but still paying them more overall (even if you are getting the extra units).)

It was reported yesterday that 12x mullers appears as 6x muller x2 on the comp so 10 is best :)

...It could have been the day before yesterday  not had much sleep thanks to DS2 :o

In a word, no (or at least possibly not :)). As I stated this morning - beyond 6 it continues to take a multi discount off on the screen as you scan for each additional one up to 10. Unless it reverts to £5.04 when you press total, which is what I said needs testing, it has taken a discount off for each additional Muller above 6, not waited for 10 before applying the discount. It is how the till is set up, not what logic would suggest.

Untested, not sure what difference it makes per unit but was just an idea.
