Both these offers were half price at Tesco. However on checking my receipt this morning both have compared to the Tesco full price?? There both still showing half price on the Tesco website and msm. Anyone have any ideas why?

  • My counsellor recently wrote in my notes " Evangeline ruminates and becomes obsessional about finding a solution." Isn't that a lovely word "ruminate". I like it :D Dictionary definition: to meditate or muse; ponder. So not sure if it's entirely in the right context since obsessing is quite intense whereas musing and pondering suggests to me fleeting thoughts of little importance  My obsessional thoughts are important to me or they wouldn't be obsessional. Anyway I will go with it as I really like that word :D I am ruminating right now about OHs comments this morning. It's really horrible to be in the midst of doing this :( My counsellor has referred me for CBT because of it but as it's something I've done all my life I won't hold my breath that they can change me :undecided I live in hope though :D

this is a fabulous idea - I love Youtube tutorials.

Its the way my brain functions, things are always clearer in pictorial form.
For instance I was doing an excel chart and I needed to do a column with a tick in it so I googled for instructions and wrote them out, one syllable per line at a time - still made little sense.

So I found a Youtube How to video and voila - all was made clear :j

That is so true. We all learn differently, some are visual learners, some auditory or kinesthetic...I once attended a fascinating course on this very subject specifically for children.VAC your lessons or something along those lines.
So many of children switch off when teachers stand at the front of a classroom and just speak...they do not process the information because their brains aren't wired up to learn this way. I myself am a visual learner and like yourself make notes from being shown how to...to help me remember.

Yes I love YouTube for this. I've used it for loads of different things I want to learn how to do. If you don't understand you can watch again and again and nobody gets annoyed whereas if someone is showing you and you don't understand they often get frustrated. I cannot learn this way because if someone gets frustrated with me I become anxious and therefore can no longer absorb anything they're trying to teach me. YouTube is my ideal tutor :D

Tesco changeover day for prices? If you bought yesterday and the price had just been changed on t.com and msm even thought it shows it takes a while to filter through the msm system and actually work.
Hth, I've been caught out loads of times by this... Usually the morning after a price change is a safer shop unless it's a v m... Then who knows...

It looks like the prices just hadn't yet filtered through to the apg, had the offers just started that day in Tosco?

I'm unsure of the exact timing but there is a delay, If they are on msm in the morning then should be good for shops after 1pm-ish update.

    (corrections welcome!)

I've got 4 weeks exactly left on maternity (but I will have had 15 months by then). I know I'm very lucky to have had that but I just don't want to go back this time. It's so hard. My youngest visits the childminder for the first time this aft. Having a mummymoment :o

Hope you find a way to stay home as long as poss. You never get this time back and it's worth a struggle if you can. Mortgage holiday? That helped us.
