Hi there everyone! I'm just coming in to this and I don't understand how you get a different voucher value from the same shop. I know the APG site (I assume the old one, whatever that is) went down for maintenance at some point in the last 24 hours, probably late night.

I've tried on Chrome (which is supposedly the old site) and on FF (supposedly the new) and both have powered by msm for me. I've checked the T&Cs on the FF website, which looks to me identical to the one I'm getting on Chrome, and it's still mentioning Morries prices updated twice per week, collected instore etc. Wonder if they're pulling the rug from me and changing things while I'm not looking?:rotfl:

My Sains. shop was abandoned:(. As is probably common knowledge to everyone, their dog, cat, fish and every other animal by the time I'm here way way late, the Curly Wurly, which did not show any mbuy on the SEL in my store, went through at full prices. So, either it is store-specific and I've missed out as it was not applicable in the store I happened to visit or clearly there were another five items bought on the earlier shop that picked up the 5 for £1 mbuy between them. If anyone paid 5 for £1 for five 10p flumps, personally, I think you were had:rotfl:.

Such a shame as no point buying any of my shop without the Curly Wurly - would otherwise be adding just normal essential items merely to reach the eight and getting only pence back:( and far less than the cost of any additional item (after APG) that I'd have to buy if I went after further than a 10p flump or fruit and veg. - just no point even bothering with the shop as I, if I am to get anything decent back, I'd be spending way beyond what I needed. So, if nothing extra comes on versus Sains. rather soon, I'll have to buy the essential items separately and then don't get any 10% off on them:(, so either way, they have caught me, and I end up overpaying them. I need the Lynx Shower gels suddenly to go onto 2 for £3 when no-one is looking so I can add a couple of those, otherwise it's pointless. A shame too as it seems the Trebor Softmints Peppermint, Trebor Extra Strong Mints and Wine Gums combo. would be back on again vs S.

My husband is suffering as we speak has had antibiotic today from doctor - I am going to get this tomorrow - thank you very very much :A

We are not allowed to give medical advice on here, but I would suggest against giving him these, at least whilst he is taking prescribed medicine. Its an easy route to an overdose. It may be okay, but check with a pharmacist first. Remember, a lot of prescription drugs are based on natures products.

Introduction to the Asda Price Guarantee

The Asda Price Guarantee lets you compare the cost of comparable grocery items in your ASDA shop to what you would have paid if you had purchased those comparable items at any of Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons or Waitrose (our Competitors for these purposes). You just need to have bought 8 or more different items from ASDA, of which at least 1 must be comparable to an equivalent item sold by a Competitor. Then, if the total cost of the comparable items in your shopping isn't 10% cheaper at ASDA, we'll give you the difference via a voucher.
    How do I qualify?

If your ASDA basket contains at least 8 different items (and those items must be available on our Grocery website) and at least 1 of them is comparable to an equivalent item sold in any of the Competitors, you can compare the comparable items in your shop using the Asda Price Guarantee tool at asdapriceguarantee.co.uk See below for further details on how to qualify.
How do I check my shop?

    Using the Asda Price Guarantee:
3.1. If you shopped in store, you can check your shop 3 hours after your shop: all you need is the barcode from your receipt. Your shop will be available for you to compare for 28 days after you made your purchases.
3.2. If you shopped online, you need to wait up to 24 hours from when your shop was delivered before you can compare it. The order will be available to compare for 28 days after the date of delivery, and you can view and compare your last 3 ASDA.com orders at any one time.
    How does it work?

If the total price of the comparable items in your shop is not 10% cheaper at ASDA, you will receive a voucher for the difference. The type of voucher you receive will depend on how you shopped:
4.1. If you shopped in an ASDA store, you will receive a voucher to print via asdapriceguarantee.co.uk which can only be redeemed in one of our stores (excluding Petrol Filling Stations). To redeem it, simply print off the voucher and take that along with your original receipt to the checkout when you next shop, and the voucher amount will be deducted from your shop. Unfortunately, if you do not have your receipt, you will not be able to use the voucher.
4.2. If you shopped on the ASDA.com website, an e-voucher will be uploaded to your ASDA.com account. Once you claim this e-voucher, it may take up to 7 days to reach your account. You can then use this e-voucher against a future ASDA.com shop.
You have 28 days from the date you received a voucher after an in-store shop, or from the date your e-voucher reaches your account to use the voucher.
Each household can only claim a maximum of 10 vouchers per calendar month, or a maximum value of £100 in vouchers per calendar month. If a voucher takes the amount you have received in a calendar month to more than £100, you will only receive an amount which takes you to £100.
You can use as many Asda Price Guarantee vouchers as you want in a transaction with us (including other types of voucher that we accept), subject to using them within 28 days of receiving them.
An Asda Price Guarantee voucher can only be used one time in relation to one transaction and there is no cash alternative. If the value of the Asda Price Guarantee voucher is greater than what you need to pay for your shop, you will not receive any change or credit in respect of any unused portion of the voucher during the transaction. Once the transaction is processed, the voucher will automatically become redeemed in full.
Vouchers cannot be redeemed at stand-alone petrol filling stations or in transactions with any third parties who operate our in-store concessions. Unfortunately, vouchers cannot be redeemed against the following items and categories: Kiosk (including Tobacco, Newspapers and Magazines), Fuel, Lottery, Gift Cards, Mobile Phone Top-Up Cards, Infant Formula, Optical and Prescriptions.
The Asda Price Guarantee at asdapriceguarantee.co.uk displays the price you paid at ASDA for each comparable item bought alongside the Competitors’ prices for those comparable items. It then uses the comparable shop total to calculate whether ASDA was 10% cheaper than all of the Competitors (on the day you shopped in-store, or on the day your grocery home shopping was delivered). If the calculation shows that your comparable shopping was not 10% cheaper at ASDA in relation to more than one of the Competitors, we will calculate your vouchers based on the Competitor with the cheapest comparable shop.
If you see "N/A" instead of a price in the comparison details when using the Asda Price Guarantee, it means that the product was not compared and won't be part of the total comparable basket price used to calculate whether your shop was 10% cheaper at ASDA. Further details on why a product might be marked with "N/A" are set out below. The comparison criteria is such that for a particular item we may be able to compare against one Competitor but not another.
    How do we collect prices?

The prices you see are collected by independent external agencies, and used as follows:
12.1. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and ASDA prices are updated by 12pm every day using web scans of their grocery home shopping sites. If you perform a check prior to 12pm, prices may not have been updated on the Asda Price Guarantee yet. In exceptional circumstances, our prices and the prices of some or all of our Competitors may be updated after 12pm. In this scenario, prices reflected on your comparison will be the prices of the previous day.
12.1.1. If a product is out of stock, the most recent price collected will be used for 7 days, but, if it remains out of stock for more than 7 days, the product will not be compared and "N/A" will be displayed.
12.1.2. If more than one price for a product is found on a home shopping site, the most recent price collected will be used to ensure your comparison is based on the latest price in that competitor.
12.2. Morrisons prices are updated twice weekly (on Wednesday and Friday) using in-store shelf prices which are collected in a representative sample of stores across Great Britain each week (on Monday and Wednesday).
12.2.1. Because Morrisons prices are only updated twice per week (Wednesday and Friday), it means that Morrisons prices checked may be up to 7 days old.
12.2.2. If a product is out of stock we will use the shelf price label if displayed (for a maximum of 7 days). If a product has a price marked on its packaging which is different to the shelf price, we will use the lowest price displayed.
12.2.3. If more than one price for a product is found in the representative stores sampled, we will use the most commonly occurring price; if there is no common price, we will use the lowest price found.
    How do we compare products?

We compare identical branded products and equivalent own label grocery products if they meet the same need or are intended for the same purpose. For example:
13.1. We compare organic with organic, Fair Trade with Fair Trade, free range with free range, variable weight products with variable weight products
13.1.1. We do not compare products if they are not sufficiently interchangeable – in other words, we do not compare products if there is not a real possibility that a customer would be able to substitute one product for the other.
13.1.2. We do not compare own label products if there is a difference in size/volume/weight of more than 10%.
13.1.3. We compare in such a way that no retailer receives an unfair or artificial advantage.
We compare comparable items on promotion (with us, or with any of our Competitors) unless the promotion is a multi-buy deal (for example '3 for 2', 'Buy One Get One Free' or ‘Buy 2 get 2nd half price’) where the prices of the individual products in the promotion are not the same.
The prices you see on your comparison are from the day you shopped (if you shopped in-store) or the day your shop was delivered (if you shopped on-line).
We believe that all of the prices you see in relation to the Asda Price Guarantee are correct. However, because we check so many prices, on rare occasions there may be some inaccuracies. Please contact our customer services (see the bottom of this page for details) if you think there is an inaccuracy and we will investigate this.
What’s included, and what are the limitations?

Categories that are excluded from the Asda Price Guarantee are:
Home, Electrical, Furnishings, Garden, Entertainment, Hardware, Sports, Toys, George, Kiosk (including Tobacco, Newspapers and Magazines), Jewellery, Pharmacy, Optical, Fuel, Photo-processing, Dry Cleaning, Infant formula
Any products which are sold in our stores but not on our Grocery Website.
Any products (or services) from any of our other websites.
Any products which are sold in standalone petrol filling stations.
Any products which are not sold by us (for example because they are sold by our concession or white label website partners).
Any products which we cannot compare because of factors outside of our control (for example because a competitor has changed the way products are displayed on its website and the independent external agencies have to change technology to capture pricing information about such products).
Any item carrying a 'Whoops' label in our stores (displayed as 'reduced' on your till receipt) as these are store specific mark downs and will not apply nationally or on our Grocery website.
We operate a fair use policy, so if you've bought the same item multiple times in one transaction we'll only count a maximum of 10 instances of each item in any one comparison. Similarly, where items are sold by weight, we’ll only count up to 10kg of the item in any one comparison.
If you shopped on the ASDA.com website, the total cost of the comparable items is based on what you ordered and not what we delivered. This means that substitutes are not included in the Asda Price Guarantee.
ASDA colleagues are entitled to use this service. All price comparisons will be made after the colleague discount has been applied where a colleague discount card has been used on your shop.
We may withhold or refuse payment and/or withdraw or suspend the Asda Price Guarantee (or any part of it) at any time without notice where we suspect fraud or abuse, or where vouchers have been incorrectly calculated. The Asda Price Guarantee is limited to one claim per comparison.
We can change these terms and conditions at any time without notice. Any changes will be posted on this page.
We may withdraw or suspend the Asda Price Guarantee, (or any part of it), at any time without notice.
If you've any queries or complaints regarding the accuracy of the Asda Price Guarantee please write to us at the address below or call us on 0800 952 3334 (Calls from a BT landline are free, calls from other service providers may be charged and calls from mobiles will cost considerably more):

The Tikka does not work with the new Apg site.

But works fine with the old site.

2 x ASDA Chosen by You Tikka Chicken Breast Slices (20...£5.00£1.00

I don't understand what is meant by "does not work". Do you mean it compares against M with M pricing of 2 for £5 or that it returns Morries N/A?

That said, I've no idea what the old site is or the new one:rotfl:. Particularly since the "new" site appears to be coming up with old descriptions, yet the "old" one seems to have some items differently described to what it had before?!?

Thanks lfab, it's interesting to see the different comparisons between old and new :) Can you confirm though that you've got the old/new the right way round?

New site. I can't see the msm logo. But I haven't had any luck finding things on the comp all day so it's probably me

No I don't see any of this at all. I've still got the old design on both browsers. I don't know how you're getting that which, as far as I'm aware, I've never seen before and indeed I'm completely baffled by all this and know nothing at all.

These look to me like the comps vs T. I've no idea in relation to the comps. at all - are you sure you've got them the right way around? The "old" one, for example, is showing the Sweetcorn as N/A and it's using a different description to what it had before so that it does not exactly match what msm.co.uk has (at least not for me - am I looking at the right msm.co.uk?:rotfl:). Whereas I'd expect "ASDA Sweetcorn (2)" to compare one at £1.70 vs £1.00 T as that's what msm.co.uk has. Yet the new one is supposedly not using msm? It seems the old one is now getting prices or data from somewhere else whereas the new one is the same as the old one was before - is this the right way around? I'm also confused because the new site's T&Cs still refer to prices from M being updated twice a week and price collection etc., so how can there be different results for the same item vs M?

Yeah I've got them muddled up :o:o:o:o

    I've edited my original post.

Please excuse my my poor fried brain :rotfl:
