Deleting old tweets

www.untweeps.com can help clear out any a/cs that you follow, who haven't tweeted in a while..

minimum age of tweet is 16 days i think.. max 3 clearouts per month, free.

* remember to remove access to your feed, after its done (on twitter- settings > apps)

thats why i asked what the benefit was as I've never deleted old tweets and it seemed to be quite a time consuming job when I could spend the time doing something else

To be honest Im not even totally sure why I had it in my mind that this could be good practice but it seems many of us did. Personally if I was getting a decent return of wins I would be taking the "if it aint broke, don't fix it" approach :)
