Powerhouse fitness 5% discount

Got emails from them twice, they say oops our website was broken yesterday, sorry hhere's 5% off. My question is, is this just a ploy to get people to buy? Perhaps their website wasn't down at all. What do you think?

It's a marketing thing. Maybe their website was down for a brief period, who knows (and who cares ?) ? I have had similar from other companies.

I feel it's a variation of the mum text sent from the events agency. Although not as distasteful. I believe the subject was along the lines of were sorry, 5%off.

The subject is clickbait, it gets emailed opened at the expense of truthfulness. It's unusual to get emails with a subject line as apologising
