So if a maintenance LOAN isn't a loan what exactly do you deem it to be.
As has already been said, the link provided shows the only actual student loan you can get which you have already applied for, if you want more money get a job.
As a teacher who assists students in their applications every year I clearly have no idea what I am talking about.0 -

There are, but they are normal loans that you repay on a monthly basis, you cannot defer them until you are earning £21k.0 -

You get the tuition loan and maintenance loan, both of which you don't start repaying until your earnings reach a set level, through the link in post #4.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Which university let you in?!
The link Tixy provided gives you the information you need about student loans. There are no other lenders that give out student loans. There are career development loans but you cannot get them for first, full-time degrees nor do they let you defer payments until you earn over a certain threshold.0 -
The only provider of student loans that you repay out of your salary when earning over 21k per year is the government-backed student loans scheme, which has already been linked to in post 4. If you're not eligible, then there are no similar alternatives.
What reason have they given for you are not being eligible for a tuition fee loan, only a maintenance loan?0 -

So, who are these alternatives that you know about but nobody else knows about. If you sat who they are someone may be able to offer the advice that you seek.
The Student Loan compan are the only company who give loans that are not repayable until you are earning over £21,000.
But you do not get a loan just because you are a student. You need to meet the eligibilty requirements for the loan.
If you will be living at home any loan entitlement will depend on your parents income as well as any income that you have.0 -
