I have just discovered that my son's phone has been charged just under £300 on 60 micropayment services through Paymo
This is the information I have received from VF
"short code 78660
customer service number for content owner 0870 0427150
to opt out send STOP to 78660
Service Micro-payment service for online content
MO Cost (sending sms to short code) 12p Premium
MT Cost (receiving sms from short code) £5.00
Company mBlox
Web/Email Address customercare@paymo.net "
Apparently my son had been talking to someone on IMVU and 'she' said her phone was broke and she just needed a number to make a payment from 'her' account.
My son being both Naive and kind, told her his number. The other Person has then used his number and convicted him to reply with 'y' to some text. and from 5th April till the 12th he has been charged randoms amounts of £5, £10 and £20 over 60 times.
Please other parents warn there children not to give out their mobiles numbers to anyone, no matter how long they have been chatting to them. My son is 17 but like I said very Naive.
