We are travelling to Turkey in 2 weeks time and staying at the Julian Club Hotel, Marmaris. Does anybody know if you are able use the facilities at their sister hotel Julian Forest, Icmeler for change of scenery?

I don't know but I do know they have " new children's poo"..according to their Facebook page.
Perhaps you could ask on their facebook page?0 -
I'm sure they would let you if you really wanted too but the Julian Forest is right at the back of icmeler so it would be quite a trek to get to it. You'd need to take a bus into Marmaris and then get on the icmeler old village bus, it would probably take you around an hour in total. Alternatively walk around 20minutes down to the beachfront of Marmaris and get on the old village bus there, it would still take about an hour total including the walk but slightly less time on the bus
If you want a change of scene I'd just go to the beach or into icmeler itself and have a wander around or take a water taxi to turunc which is a smaller resort just around the coast.Lea

Dolmus are a great way to see a bit of Turkey outside of where you're staying, and they're cheap.
They're normally colour-coded depending on their destination.
Examples in Marmaris, the Orange Dolmus that runs along the hotel strip parallel to the beach goes to Icmeler, doesn't take long, and they are frequent.
You can also get the White Dolmus along the hotel strip to Turunc. Less frequent, hourly I think. That's a great ride as it goes via Icmeler and steeply up and over the pine forests, before steeply dropping into pretty Turunc. Keep your eyes open up in the clouds, and you might spot the Man in the Moon.
The Green Dolmus goes along the hotel strip to the main Otogar (bus station), which is on the perimeter of Marmaris. You can get longer distance buses from there. Dalyan is doable for a day trip.
The water taxi between the impressive Marmaris Marina and Icmeler is a lovely trip, and gives you different views of the Marmaris area. And as mentioned you can get between Icmeler and Turunc on the water.
Don't forget the very colourful local markets. There'll be one on somewhere in the area every day.
I prefer the Marmaris area out of season, when it's a bit cooler, and you can do the beautiful coastal walk from Marmaris to Icmeler or visa versa.0 -
Try & have the right change for the bus as they say that they don't give change. Although I noticed that they give change when it comes to locals or men. A swift prod in the back ( I sat behind him) got me my change. I don't normally go around prodding people in the back
but he ignored me when I asked for my change the first time. Enjoy! 0 -
I have always had been given change on a dolmus.0
