lloyds or halifax ppi claims

Options
Hi, I just thought people may find this helpful about the lloyds group, I made a claim back in 2012 for my credit card which was mis-sold, over the years had many ppi's but never felt i had been mis-sold always knew they were there had agreed signed debateable wether they should have been sold as did not need with other insurances i held at time, never tried to claim nor am i going to. Back to the story my claim was deffended for this credit card but knew it was wrong never pushed or did anything else about it busy working mum, never seemed to find the time but little under 5 weeks ago i had phone call out of the blue from lloyds group asking for more information as they were reviewing my case, i answered their questions, was repeating everything they had asked before but was happy to do so, was told would hear from them within 3 weeks,( was tad concerned maybe a scam but no information they asked for suggested that) actually i had a letter from them 2 weeks and one day later saying they were upholding my claim and i was due just under £13,000, after tax is just over £12,000 they would pay within 28 days, I am pleased to let everyone know 13 days later the money has appeared into my bank account and want to reassure people banks are re opening cases and this could not have come at a better time for my family as my son will be off to uni this year....., hope this gives people hope as i read many posts on here trying to find out if that call was genuine and it was :-D good luck to all the genuine claims

kitymeadows - Thank you for writing this. I dealt with my brothers ppi claims back in 2013. He has just had a phone call from Halifax about his claim that was refused.
He didn't want to speak to them thinking it was a scam.
The guy that rang gave him a number to ring, which was a Lloyds number.
He feels much more reassured now that I found this post.
  • hi Sammie glad you found this useful good luck with your brothers claim :-)
