Hiya....
After some more advise please
We've removed some old tiles from our bathroom and kitchen but we have been left with some quite thick adhesive on the walls in its place.

These tiles were the orginal so are some years old...and in some places we've just tiled over them but on other places we'd like to get back to the wall to paint etc.
Any tips / hints to how we can try to remove or what our options might be?
Thanking you in advance x

Can you chip it off with a bolster chisel?0

Don't use a bolster chisel , you will destroy the walls
Use a Hamilton scraper, long handle to give you leverage and a 150mm sharp blade. Will remove most of the excess
You could also use a orbital sander but messyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Stanley 4 inch scraper works for me. You'll use two or three blades. Don't be tempted by the cheaper ones, they'll break before you've blunted the first blade.0

Multi tools are very good for this work.

Combination of andyhop and mchale suggestions: The wallpaper steamer softens the adhesive and the long handled scraper will remove it. If you are going to paint the wall, you might need a plaster skim, depending on how the surface looks when done.0

It appears to be tubbed adhesive , a scraper with new blade will be more than sufficent , adhesive will be brittle . Putting moisture into the plaster will make things worse and expect to start blowing the plasterHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks all for you help and thoughts... Will give the scraper first a go to see how I get on... theres a lot of it on pretty much every surface in the bathroom and kitchen... so wish me luck!0
