we are definatley leaving Sky Broadband and possibly moving to Virgin.
I would rather just take the whole lot over TV,Broadband, Phone but DH is set on keeping SKY TV.
Is there anywhere that compares the two channel wise, so I prove he won't loose out on anything(bothered about Sport, movies and having HD channels the most.

Off the top of my head Sky has 2 channels Virgin doesn't,Atlantic and the new one called Spike, which is also on Freeview.
With the Virgin package I have, the big kahuna,BT Sport and ESPN are included, they cost extra with Sky.
All HD channels are included at no extra cost on Virgin I believe.
The Sky remote is much more user friendly than the Tivo one.
Put Virgin v Sky into google and I'm sure all your questions will be answered0 -
Ignore DH
Virgin provide almost all of the Sky channels. If you really need Sky Atlanic then get a Now TV subscription (it's reasonably priced tho may not agree if very tight on funds! and gets you access to sky movies which can do instead of via Virgin channel subscription)

I done the whole move to VM tivo ... THE WORST thing i've ever done. I mean THE WORST!
Phone is fine if you don't get caught out with any extortionate charges. Broadband is good whenever the Superhub feels like working. There are days when it won't let any of your devices connect, not accepting passwords etc. (and mine is the latest AC version)
Tivo.... I get shivers just mentioning it. Truly the worst experience. Watching TV is supposed to be a relaxing experience, Trying to operate a Tivo box is stressful & confusing to say the very least. A remote with the most thoughtless layout, tiny buttons you can hardly see, oh and it will NOT work unless you point it directly at the box. If you sit at a slight angle to the box, it doesn't work. If you sit more than 5 feet from the box - it doesn't work.
The menu layout on the tivo is just as bad as the remote - confusing, time consuming and stressful. Change channels and you're met with a black screen with a near 2 second delay 'til your selected channel appears. The box itself is noisy enough to distract you constantly, thumping sounds like someone drumming their fingers on a table. Loudly.
I couldn't get back to Sky fast enough. I promise you, you will regret it. If you must try it, have a go of a mates first. If the price of Sky is the problem, my niece works for Sky, she always has 12 month half price codes, or try and get a retention deal.0 -
virgin is better in my opinion for broadband but the sky tv interface is much better, I have both0
