Oyster card failed top up

Hello,
I do apologise if this is a wrong section for this question.
My question is that I paid £21.50 to top my my oyster card at a shop. Afterwards when I checked the oyster history no money came in and checking the bank money did leave my account.
Is there anything I can do about this?
Thank you.

You could:- Return to the shop and ask them to check that the top-up was performed.
- Check the status of your card at an Oyster ticket machine - perhaps the credit is on your card but the payment side of things is still to be settled.
- Wait and re-check tomorrow.
- Contact TfL customer services on 0343 222 1234.

you really did not think to go back in the shop and ask for a receipt or get in touch with tfl customer services?0

Hi All
Yesterday I travelled from zone 5 tube station through zone 1 and all the way to Hadley Wood (zone 6) on my Oyster PAYG (after 9:30am). I also returned the same route at about 20:30pm . So as far as I am concerned both journeys seem to be off-peak.
I looked at the prices for Off Peak PAYG as of 2nd Jan 2015, and it says the journey should cost £3.10, yet I am being charged £5.20 for each journey, a whopping £10.40 instead of £6.20.
If I am correct, it looks like they've programmed the wrong prices in their computer systems and people are being overcharged .
Wonder if I've got this wrong or not?0 -

The travel section would be better suited for your thread, same for the OP.0 -

This happens if you do not scan in and out, i.e. you scan in at one end but not the other.
As they don't know where you have come from or where you got off, they charge you the maximum fair.0 -
I seem to remember having to nominate a station, where my Oyster card can be updated, if I Top-Up online.
So I just Top-Up when I pass through a station, so the card is updated right away.0 -
Correct -you have to nominate the station to load the top up onto the card.
I'm sure also there is some time limit for you after topping up online to actually pass through your nominated station.0 -

I did scan it at each end and the journey history (on my online oyster account) confirms each origination and destination. Unless I have misinterpreted the costs , this looks like they have not programmed the correct rates.0 -
