I am currently streaming some live content from the states. The guy streaming it also offers an option to join a live chat about his broadcast.
(" Live comments & interactive viewer forum can be found on the youtube player page. Click on the YouTube button on the player to activate full player.")
I have never used this. Anyone know how it works? Do I have to download a Youtube app if so which one and how would I activate that from the site where he is streaming live?

well I did not get a reply but as some research I have sorted it out and am posting the answer here in case anyone else has this problem in future.
Basically when you are watching a live stream via YouTube , (aka iplayer mode), you can click the YouTube icon on the bottom right of the screen to post comments in a live chat about the stream alongside it to the rightf the window. However in 2004 YouTube turned this YouTube button/icon into a toggle and it now appears as a rectangle called cinema.
When the rectangle icon is showing this means you are watching the stream in cinema infull screen mode. If you want to watch it in"comments " mode you have to click on the rectangle. The word "default" is then displayed and you are defaulted back to comments mode .
This iplayer option dies not work on direct feeds or when viewing an iplayer stream on a tablet.0
