OK : I've investigated the various cards I've got - you can still get Avios with Lloyds dual Amex/Mastercard, so that's a way of continuing to use Mastercard.
If you're thginking of applying, check the small print for annual fees / the rate at which you collect Avios / any requirement to have a Lloyds current a/c etc. etc. It's only rock 'n' roll ...0 -
I was wondering what happens if you have points left that aren't enough to get a voucher? Even the new cash option (which is a bit of a scam anyway because it's at half the rate) needs a minimum of 1000 points. I know it will only be worth a couple of pounds but it's my couple of pounds!
The timing is annoying for me as well because I'll miss out on the birthday bonus by 1 month

You'll lose them. FWIW, the minimum for the cash option (at least according to the leaflet they sent me and my online points account) is 2000 points, not 1000.
The absolute cheapest thing you can get is 1250 points, for a non-London Vue cinema ticket.0 -
Got the letter today along with a leaflet suggesting I switch to one of their other cards - with annual fees
For me any fee would more or less wipe out any cash back so I guess they are going to lose me all together as a customer, I moved current account last year after I got fed up with their IT failures but kept their CC. 0 -

Great  I do at least have a Vue so I might need to use that! I'm going to have to do some maths I think! If I'm not short by much I'll just put the difference onto a Sainsbury's gift card which is as good as cash to me.
You're right, I got confused because it said it was worth £5, I forgot to divide by 2 twice! Incidentally, the YourPoints website is down yet again!
I haven't actually had an official letter yet, I would have had no idea without the MSE email. I'm beginning to doubt my loyalty to Natwest, they lost my ISA when they thought 0.75% was a generous offer!0 -
In their letter NatWest say they are 'simplifying our reward scheme' but in essence they are dumping the old scheme, but you can still have a card that collects points, although this now carries an annual fee of £24 and as far as I can see the rate at which you accrue points has also been reduced so 'Thank you, NatWest and your so-called 'Helpful Banking'...You would be daft to take their cash offer for the points you have as there are plenty of outlets where you can spend vouchers just as easily and for me it is simple as I will just switch my spending to another card we hold that offers a points system....but get the most out of NatWest between now and 30 June 2015.0

Has the Yourpoints website been taken down ?? Tried yesterday and still not working today Also FAQs on main Natwest site don't exist any more ! Have they "jumped the gun" ?? -well it is part of RBS:rotfl:0

Still looks like it is down - so they close the scheme but shut the website where you can redeem YourPoints #helpful banking!!!
And they are still recruiting new customers onto their Private Black card by promoting YourPoints even though the scheme is shutting.......when will they ever learn0 -

I tried the site yesterday and today - very, very slow, but I got there in the end.
Persist !It's only rock 'n' roll ...0 -
I've just redeemed my points for a Laithwaites voucher - much better value than swapping direct for bottles of wine. I reckon I'll be able to get 18 bottles from Laithwaites rather than 12 bottles direct from Pluspoints.
Meanwhile, Natwest have lost my custom - I've switched to a Lloyds Amex card (no fee, and Avios rewards). It's only rock 'n' roll ...0
