They put up their branded hordings today, so I'll have a look for those logos, thanks..If they are, is the a "code of practice" they they must adhere too?0 -
Demolition won't take very long at all - and that's the only time there's likely to be any significant dust created. There might be the odd bit whilst doing various bits of external work, but no more than any other neighbour doing any paving or renovations.
The major inconvenience is going to be daytime noise and traffic.0 -
any actual damage will be covered by the party wall agreement. Surveyors took photos, and assessed our home before they started work, so I believe we are legally covered should their work physically damage our house.it'll cost more than £10-£15 for our house, as it's a fairly large detached property..
Yes, it would only cost £5-£10 for the cars, but why should we have to pay? We're having to put up with a huge amount of noise etc etc for what will probably be 6-8 months.. Why should we be out of pocket, even if it's for not a huge amount..
I'd actually expect them to clean our cars and windows more than once, should the build phase create more dust..

They are building within a certain distance of our house, so the rule applies.

You must give Notice under the Party Wall Act if you’re excavating for new foundations deeper than the foundations of your neighbours’ home, within three metres of the boundary, or within six metres if a 45° will be formed between the bottom of your new foundations and those belonging to your neighbour.0 -

It's not legally binding but if they're registered they should be willing to consider neighbours concerns and if they're not I would write a letter of complaint to CCS
